Diplôme conférant le grade de licence

Les universités délivrent des diplômes nationaux avec le grade et les crédits (ECTS) correspondants soit pour la licence (L) bac + 3, 180 crédits.

Le grade de licence peut également être délivré par des établissements privés, après étude du dossier. Ainsi, certains bachelors d’écoles de management, de commerce ou d’ingénieurs détiennent ce grade et donnent accès aux mêmes poursuites d’études.

Le grade de licence est conféré à quelques diplômes supplémentaires, notamment le DCG (diplôme de comptabilité et de gestion), le diplôme d'études en architecture, les diplômes d'État d'infirmier et d'ergothérapeute.

Le diplôme national sanctionne la réussite à un examen organisé et validé par l'État, qui en garantit la qualité. Il atteste d'une qualification reconnue sur l'ensemble du territoire par les ministères concernés.
